VMWare guest PXE httpboot support?

Problem: Imaging a VMWare guest using foreman-proxy-http rather than TFTP

Expected outcome: Successfully image VMWare guest using http proxy.

Foreman and Proxy versions: Foreman 3.16

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

Distribution and version: Installed on Rocky Linux 9.6

Other relevant data:

I have installed http and httpboot and confirmed ports 8000 and 9090 are accepting connections. I’ve also successfully done a curl to http://myserver.domain.com:8000/httpboot/grub2/grubx64.efi and downloaded the file. If I try through our Windows DHCP server it fails after setting option 67 to the abobe URL and the host keeps returning to the EFI menu. I did read that at least formerly VMWare guests don’t support http and send the wrong vendor class and get directed to TFTP. So this isn’t necessarily a foreman problem, but does anyone have experience with VMWare guest and been successful imaging with http? I’m playing around with getting iPXE working for our hybrid environment of foreman and SCCM and though getting HTTP working in advance would be a bonus. Thanks for any help.
Currently we are on VMWare vSphere Client version 8.0.3.00700.
