VMware vCloud provisioning target?

We've been targeting vmware and it works great against vcenter. However
there are people here who use vcloud director for some of their work.

I know Foreman uses fog as its backend which in turn supports vcloud…is
anyone using it in this manner? I could bypass the director and target the
vcenter at the heart of that environment but this is bad practice as vcloud
then wouldn't know about the things foreman created.

Are there plans to support vcloud in 1.2?

Thanks! – Kal

Hi Kal,

Sadly there are no plans for 1.2, mostly because we lack the
hardware/software.

If we have access to such a setup, I would assume it would be easier to
code against, saying that we would love for contributions in that area

If you (or anyone else) have an itch, we would be more than happy to try
and implement it together.

It looks like some progress has been made on fog in the last week to add
vCloud Director support [1]. I have some upgrades to tackle first
(currently running Puppet 2.6.16 and Foreman 0.4.2), but I hope to spin up
a foreman development environment and start plugging it into vCD this week.

Didn't see this reply…if you need someone to test, let me know, and I
created a Feature Request for this,
