Webhook not passing payload when subscribing to Host Destroyed

Hi,

I have a webhook configured as:

Subscribe To: Host Destroyed
Name: my_name
Target URL: https://<foreman_server>:9090/shellhook/my_name
Template: Empty Payload
Http Method: POST
Enable: post
HTTP Content Type: application/json
HTTP Headers:
{
“X-Shellhook-Arg-1”: “<%= @payload[‘hostname’] %>”
}

However the arg is not being passed, and in the production logs I see:
{:event_name=>“host_destroyed.event.foreman”, :payload=>“”, :headers=>“{\n "X-Shellhook-Arg-1": ""\n}”, :url=>“https://<forman_server>:9090/shellhook/my_name”, :webhook_id=>5}

If I use the same payload on a Build Exit event it works. This has worked previously before I upgraded the server.

Foreman version: 3.15.0
Katello version: 4.17.0
Webhook version: 4.0.1

If I create a new webhook just to print the args using the subscribe event Host Destroyed I still do not see the args.

Hi @tania,

For any create-update-delete events you can refer to @object instead of more general @payload.

So the following should just work:

  "X-Shellhook-Arg-1": "<%= @object.name %>"
}
