Xenserver plugin without 64bit support?

Hi @all,

I've tried to provision C6/C7 machines on a Citrix XenServer using the
xenserver plugin on foreman. The machines are created, the PXE get the boot
image and the system start the provisioning process. After uncompressing
the boot image, I got an error message like this: "This kernel requires an
x86_64 cpu but only detected an i686 server". I've used the other install
media template. Googling around didn't point me to the root cause,
virtualization is enabled, 64Bit machines already running on this server,
so I think it could have to do with the virtual machine creation. Any one
else with this kind of error around or even better, does someone have a
solution for this problem?

Regards Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I'm experiencing this error as well.
Any updates on your end?

Sorry for late response, the error still exist in my environment but I
didn't apply the mentioned patch yet. Is there already a release target
when this one will be fixed in the RPMs as well?

IIRC, this wasn't an issue with the foreman-xen plugin. It was an issue
with fog. I think it gets fixed in fog v1.23 according to the thread. I
believe that's also addressed in the latest rpm.
