Bug report

Problem: I posted this in pulp-workers, but wanted to make sure it was noticed as a bug report. In following: Updating 2.4 to 2.5, step 2.1.1. paragraph 2 states to run: foreman-maintain prep-6.10-upgrade. When I do that, I get back:

ERROR: No such sub-command ‘prep-6.1-upgade’

See ‘foreman-maintain --help’

Expected outcome: Command does not give me an error.

Foreman and Proxy versions: foreman 2.4.1-1 & katello 4.0.3-1

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

Distribution and version: CentOS 7.9

Other relevant data:

I think this might be a bug in the docs. The current documentation is a “fork” of RedHat’s satellite documentation (that’s probably also why it state 6.10, since this is the current satellite version). We recently did that upgrade without any issues when skipping this command.
Maybe someone from the Katello dev-team can confirm this a documentation error rather than an actually needed step?

OK. Sounds good. My foreman-maintain content migration-stats shows the rpms, errata, and repositories are all updated, but estimates migration time at 24 minutes. So, it is probably done already.

Thanks!

I opened https://github.com/theforeman/foreman-documentation/issues/895 on the documentation issue tracker for this, to make sure it gets attention.
