Foreman 1.19.0-RC2 is now available for testing, big thanks to everyone who contributed and especially to @ekohl who has been handling most of the technical work of building this release.
Please help by testing and getting it release-ready. We expect there to be one more release candidate before 1.19 is released, so look out for that in the near future.
There are several known issues with this RC that we plan to address in RC3:
- [RPM only] The plugins repo is set by the foreman-release package to enforce GPG check, but not all packaes are signed. Users hitting an issue with installing packages from it should disable gpgcheck for this repo.
- VMWare provisioning does not work with distributed switch network setup. This is being tracked at Bug #24571: With fog-vsphere 2.3 trying to provision to a port group within a distributed switch fails - Foreman
- PXE provisioning fails with
snippet 'blacklist_kernel_modules' does not existerror. This is being tracked at Bug #24578: PXE provisioning does not work in 1.19: snippet ‘blacklist_kernel_modules’ does not exist - Foreman
