Foreman used to have an account sponsored by Microsoft to develop on Azure, but as they announced earlier this has been converted into a pay-as-you-go. I think that for now we still have the credits we were given before.
I think only @cintrix84 and @Odilhao had credentials they used, but I’m not 100% sure. Please consider this a heads up.
can you give me a rough idea of the budget needed to support Azure development or maybe even credits, as much as I have no desire for Azure usage, Foreman supporting provisioning on Azure and the Azure eco system (especially as it’s mostly used as a VM platform) is essential for Foreman to be considered ‘enterprise’ and ‘multi-platform’ I have a few options that maybe willing to either fund credits or potentially a child account within a funded tenant .
Initially the plan with the sponsored account was to use it for 2 things:
Infra things (Jenkins nodes, whatever else)
Development of the Azure plugin
The first didn’t end up happening and the second is so small that I think with the remaining credits we have it won’t be an issue for quite some time. So for now I think it’s a great offer, but won’t help much. If things change we can always revisit.
