Allow me to invite you to the first meetup of the Foreman Provisioning Interest group.

For those who missed my earlier topic, I’m starting this group to connect people interested in provisioning who would like to contribute and help to shape the strategy for provisioning in the Foreman ecosystem.

My plan is having him, @donien and/or myself to join based on availability. Unfortunately @donien and I are at a customer so we can not make it for the first meeting.

I intended to make it to this meeting, but something unexpected came up this morning that I had to take care. Was this meeting recorded? Thank you…looking forward to the next and additional meetings!

Hi,
As promised, I’m sharing the summary of the first meetup.

  • Presentation slides
  • FRE Copy OS attributes from an existing OS to a different OS #38276
  • Bug: New hosts index page doesn’t show global status for each host #38348
  • Cleanup of templates, bootloaders, and their contents is something that the community would appreciate
  • Template content cleanup: Code for old versions, shell commands that can be replaced by the Anaconda commands, …
  • Foreman, Flatpaks & Anaconda discussion, from the first talks, it looks like there shouldn’t be any problems from the provisioning side.
